Leprechaun movie plot:

J. D. Redding rents the O'Grady farmhouse with his daughter Tory ten years later. Nathan Murphy, his 10-year-old brother Alex, and their dimwitted pal Ozzie Jones are repainting the farmhouse. Ozzie misidentifies the leprechaun as a youngster when inspecting the basement. By removing the old clover, he frees the leprechaun. Leprechaun explains to Ozzie that he is an Irish shoemaker who immigrated to America for money. Ozzie finds a rainbow and chases it in pursuit of a pot of riches after failing to persuade others that he spotted a leprechaun. Alex follows Ozzie because he is concerned about him. A bag containing 100 gold coins arrives in front of Ozzie. Ozzie studies the treasures and eats a coin, believing that it would heal his brain. They keep it hidden in an old well.

The O'Grady farmhouse is rented by J. D. Redding and his daughter Tory, now a teenager, ten years later. Nathan Murphy, his 10-year-old brother Alex, and their dopey friend Ozzie Jones are working as contract workers to renovate the farmhouse. While exploring the cellar, Ozzie overhears the leprechaun calling for help and mistakes him for a little child. As soon as the old four-leaf clover is freed from the carton, the leprechaun is free to go. The leprechaun tells Ozzie that he's a shoemaker from Ireland who came to America in quest of better opportunities. Ozzie fails to convince the others that he saw a leprechaun, but he does spot a rainbow, which he follows in the hopes of finding a pot of gold at its end. Worried that Ozzie would hurt himself, Alex decides to pursue him. With a wave of his wand, a bag holding one hundred gold coins appears before Ozzie. After Ozzie examines the gold and accidentally swallows a coin, thinking that doing so would cure his brain damage, they bury the loot in a deep, ancient well.

The farm leprechaun fools J. D. by pretending to be a cat and biting his hand. Tory and the others transport the leprechaun to the hospital. Alex and Ozzie visit a pawn shop to inspect the gold's purity. The leprechaun kills the owner, Joe, for stealing his gold and polishes his shoes before departing. On his way home, the leprechaun constructs a go-kart and gets caught for speeding. Leprechaun chases policeman into woods and murders him. The leprechaun returns to the farmhouse and shines every shoe he sees. After dumping off J. D., the group returns to the farm. Nathan is injured by a leprechaun-set bear trap after discovering the house ransacked. The gang beats the leprechaun with rocks and clubs outside.

The leprechaun is shot many times when they discover a firearm in the home. When it doesn't work, they try to leave the property, but the leprechaun has destroyed the truck's engine. The leprechaun terrorizes the gang after smashing the vehicle with the go-kart until Ozzie admits that he and Alex discovered the pot of gold. The bag is retrieved from the well by Tory, who then offers it to the leprechaun. They go to the hospital, certain that the worst is past. The leprechaun realizes that he is missing the last coin that Ozzie ate as he counts his wealth. He threatens them, believing they have duped him, until Ozzie informs them that O'Grady had a stroke and was sent to a nursing facility. By hurling filthy shoes at the leprechaun, the gang diverts his attention, and the leprechaun is forced to go shine the shoes as Tory gets in her jeep and drives off. To find out how to slay the leprechaun, Tory goes to the house.

At the nursing home, the leprechaun impersonates O'Grady. As Tory rushes from an elevator, the leprechaun throws O'Grady's body down the shaft. O'Grady cautions her that the leprechaun can only be killed by a four-leaf clover, which grows outside the property. Nathan and Ozzie defend Tory as the leprechaun attacks her at the farmhouse. The leprechaun gets injured while trying to get Ozzie's final gold coin. Alex ties Tory's four-leaf clover to gum and launches it into the leprechaun's mouth, melting him before he can kill Ozzie. Leprechaun's skeleton escapes the well and says, "I want my gold." Nathan uses gasoline to fire both artifacts after forcing the leprechaun down the well. Tory reunites with her father, marries Nathan, and has a child when the police arrive. While cops explore the well's debris, the leprechaun vows to recover all of his gold.
